Folks, many SIGs have a policy about whether or not job ads and commercial postings are acceptable traffic on the site... this might be a time for us to decide whether we want to allow these types of posts. I would like to keep the posts here limited to AWS from a educational, practical or informational perspective.

Well I'm all for Lisa in this early instance.
Agreed heavy commercialism need to be blocked, but 99designs is a perfect AWS classic! Lets hear from these early sucessful adopters and not be too elitist. These guys proves it works. Lets listen, not be judgemental. Well done Lisa.

I actually forwarded the ad to my friend (http://speedywasabi.com/) because 99 designs is so damn cool. The job offers "experience with Amazon Web Services like EC2, S3, EBS" so I think it seems appropriate to our (nascent) group. I'd be fine with a ban on recruiters though.

    Hi everyone,
We now have a venue for our first meetup! Level 2, 446 Collins St, Melbourne which is right next to Cliftons Training (Which will be familiar to you if you have attended an AWS 101 or AWS Partner Training Workshop) The front door locks at 6:30pm, so if you are on time you will have no problem getting up to the second floor, if you are running late give me a ring on my mobile (0418 510 155) and I'll send someone down to let you in. See you there!
